I love brightly coloured anything so it’s no surprise that I love brightly coloured shoes too. I came across these gorgeous cobalt blue ones from ASOS during the week and as I currently don’t have anything quite like it, I thought I’d have a go at styling them.
I found that, because the shoes were such a bold colour, it was best to keep the rest of the outfits pretty simple. I think they look particularly great with the skinny jeans – looks 2 and 5 are probably my favourite overall – I love them with the lighter blues and purple too though. What do you think?
What do you think of the looks? How would you style a blue pair of pumps?
(I choose these items from the Polyvore vaults purely as examples of styling. Most should be available for purchase if your interested but they are not necessarily intended as shopping recommendations by me).
These are both so easy to style too as they work as a neutral and look amazing either dressed up or down. All the looks here would work equally well with either necklace I’d say.
Casual: This is a nice simple, comfy casual look with a touch of sparkle brought in by the necklace. I love the bright green and pink in this – it isn’t a typical pairing but I think it’s really fun. Stripes and flowers are a really great combination to play with.
Work: Not as much colour in this outfit but in keeping with the fun spirit of the necklace I brought in a pop of unexpected colour in with the shoes! This would look great with a neutral shoe too – or really any bright colour of shoe.
Lunch: This is another casual sort of a look but a little bit more styled with the inclusion of the belt and dressy sandals. I love light blue, pink and purple together. I think its really pretty. I think a simple pair of diamond studs would look great with this necklace too.
Party: I love this blazer! I think it pairs so perfectly with the necklace and this pink shirt. The star earrings and gold shoes are so fun. I think this would be absolutely perfect for any sort of a party.
Date: This is a simple, elegant and stylish look. I think this necklace dresses up really well here and I love it paired with these floral earrings too. I see this as being perfect for a dinner or any special occasion. I love orange and pink together. They are one of my favourite colour combinations to wear and look so pretty with the gold.
Which is your favourite look?
Hope there’s a few ideas for you to try out here anway. This is influenced by the Dressing Your Truth Bright/Animated style (Type 1). I don’t know the style too well actually but I couldn’t resist trying it out with these necklaces. You can learn more about Dressing Your Truth hereat their site or there is lots to see at youtube too!
* I chose all these clothes for the vaults at Polyvore. I selected them solely as examples for styling the pieces I’m featuring. Most of them should be available for purchase although I haven’t looked in to any of them. Linking up with:
I think splashes of neon can be so pretty in an outfit, especially when paired with lots of colour. I discovered this great statement necklace during the week at Baublebar and thought I’d do a 5 Wayswith it as it was something a bit different. I started off with a few casual looks and ended with a couple of dressier/party looks. Hope you like them :)
It’s March 16th and it’s a year ago since I wrote my first post here! So today I thought I’d share some of my favourite posts from the past 12 months as a way to celebrate the year it’s been.
Somehow this post got picked up by Buzzfeed in 27 life hacks every girl needed to know. I was so excited, I have no idea how they found me as it was early on when writing the blog and had hardly any traffic.
I hope you enjoyed looking over some of Bit Square’s first year. I absolutely love writing this blog and have loved connecting, sharing and meeting all of you. Thank you so very much for a wonderful year :)
I did a bit a shopping this week and noticed that Katies had some new Jewellery in – only a few pieces, but there were a couple of definite standouts. This red tassel necklace was one of them (they also have it in a cobalt blue which is equally as gorgeous). A pure red necklace is something that I don’t actually own and, of course, something that I would really love to have. The only thing that stopped me from buying this one yesterday was that I was worried it would be a little too long for me. I generally prefer shorter necklaces and I wasn’t exactly sure how I would go about altering this one. Anyway, I thought I’d have a go styling it while I thought about it.
I think it’s really pretty though. I love it especially with the pink and orange in the party/date looks. I actually think it might work fairly well doubled over too.
I’ve tried finding a nice red necklace that’s internationally available with little luck yet. If your interested in one you can always try Shop Style, The Find,orAmazon.
Which is look is your favourite? How do you wear a red necklace?
Please note: I choose the majority of these items from the Polyvore vaults as examples for styling only. Most probably are available for purchase if your interested but they are not necessarily intended as shopping recommendations by me
Here’s another something from Jacqui-E for this weeks Way to Wear. I am a HUGE Jacqui-E fan. I actually avoid going into this shop sometimes as there is always way too much there that I’d want to buy!
Anyway, I had a good look around the online store earlier in the week and this is one skirt I thought was really pretty. I haven’t seen this in real life yet but I hoping it’s as lovely as it looks here. So before I buy it (or at least try it on) I thought I’d see how it would style. As structured skirts like this are great to wear all year round – I thought I’d do exactly that with it here.
I had a lot of fun styling this and really like how it’s looking. Hmm….I think the summer looks are my favourite though. They actually also have this pattern in a dress too but I think I like the skirt better.
What do you think? Do you like this skirt? Which is your favourite look?
I found something sort of similar for everyone else from Topshop. I think this would style similarly to the Jacqui-E skirt. I absolutely love how they’ve styled it here too.
